Winthrop, Ontario

Winthrop is a very small village located on the southeastern part of Huron County, Ontario, Canada, where two county roads meet. It is within the Municipality of Huron East. Winthrop used to have a few shops, a general store, and a post office, which unfortunately is no longer in service.

Infamous Incidents

On 8 March 2010, an Ontario Provincial Police constable was shot in the head by a denizen of Sundridge and former denizen of Winthrop.[1]
