Wind River is an upcoming thriller directed and written by Taylor Sheridan. It stars Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Jon Bernthal and Kelsey Asbille.

Premise

An FBI agent teams with the town's veteran game tracker to investigate a murder that occurred on a Native American reservation.

Cast

Production

Development first began in May 2015, with Taylor Sheridan making his directorial debut, and Chris Pine and Elizabeth Olsen cast.[1] By January 2016, Pine dropped out of the film, and was replaced with Jeremy Renner.[2] The project began filming on March 31, 2016 in Park City, Utah, with Jon Bernthal, Graham Greene, Julia Jones and Gil Birmingham added to the cast.[3] Kelsey Asbille joined the cast on April 26, 2016.[4]

Distribution

The Weinstein Company acquired the distribution rights on May 13, 2016 during the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.[5]
