Willis Robert Crockett (born August 25, 1966) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at the Georgia Tech and was selected in the fifth round of the 1989 NFL Draft.

Early years

Crockett attended Coffee High School before moving on to Georgia Tech.

He began his college career as a safety and was named a starter as a sophomore.[1] He was converted to an outside linebacker as a junior. In 1988, he received All-ACC and Honorable-mention All-American honors.[2]

Professional career

Crockett was selected in the fifth round (119th overall) of the 1989 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.[3] As a rookie he suffered a left knee injury and was placed on the injured reserve list.[4] He was waived injured on September 3, 1990,[5] but eventually returned to the team and played in 13 games as a reserve and special teams player.
