William S. Zwicker

William Seymour Zwicker (born 1949) is an American mathematician, the William D. Williams Professor of Mathematics at Union College in Schenectady, New York.[1]

Zwicker did his undergraduate studies at Harvard University, earning a bachelor's degree in 1971, and did his graduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a Ph.D. in 1976, under the supervision of Eugene M. Kleinberg. He has been on the Union College faculty since 1975, and was given his named chair in 2006.[1][2]

Zwicker has done research in set theory and social choice theory. With Alan D. Taylor, he is the author of Simple Games: Desirability Relations, Trading, Pseudoweightings (Princeton University Press, 1999).
