William L. Mathues (March 24, 1862 December 30, 1908) was a former Treasurer of the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.[1] Mathues was one of the people convicted in connection to the Pennsylvania State Capitol graft scandal.[1] He died of pneumonia in 1908 before he was supposed to go to prison.
