William Kay (priest)
The Very Rev William Kay , DSO MC, MA (1894–1980)[1] was an eminent Anglican priest in the 20th century.[2] He was educated at Durham University and ordained in 1919 after distinguished wartime service with the Manchester Regiment.[3] He was a Curate at Rochdale and then Vicar of Cresswell, Derbyshire. Later he was Rural Dean of Newark[4] before a 25-year stint[5][6] as Provost of Blackburn.[7]
