Wicked Tuna is a reality television series about commercial tuna fishermen based in Gloucester, Massachusetts who fish for the lucrative Atlantic bluefin tuna in the North Atlantic Ocean. The teams of fisherman battle each other to see who can catch the most fish.[2][3][4][5][6]

In addition to offering an inside look at one of America’s oldest industries, Wicked Tuna also sheds light on important issues surrounding the fate of the bluefin tuna. captains adhere to U.S. regulations that determine size limits and quotas for the season.[7]

Wicked Tuna is one of our strongest franchises” said Nat Geo president Howard T. Owens. Wicked Tuna was renewed by National Geographic Channel for a sixth season.[8]
