Who Was...?

Who Was..? is a book series published by Grosset & Dunlap designed for children. The books are basic biographies of important people and were written by different authors. Related titles include Where Is... and What Is..., which are about famous places and important historical events. Many American public libraries contain copies of volumes in this series.^[1]
