West End Theatre (Manhattan)

West End Theatre is a theatre building in Harlem, New York City, built in 1902 by Meyer R. Bimberg[1] in a structure that now houses the La Gree Baptist Church.[2][3] It is located on 125th Street between St. Nicholas and Morningside Avenue.

Bimberg, who came to be known as Bim the Button Man, made his fortune selling campaign buttons. He had five theatres built in New York City before his death including what is now the Belasco Theatre.

Rev. Wayland Williams presides at La Gree.
