West Carleton Secondary School is a secondary school situated in the rural west end of Ottawa, Ontario. The school is under the jurisdiction of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.

Expansions and Renovations

The secondary school will be getting a significant addition to the school, adding room for an additional 250 students with new classrooms and specialty rooms, including a new dance room (rumoured; currently officially set as unspecified 'arts' room) and gym. Construction is planned to begin in the fall of 2017 (unconfirmed) and be completed by early 2018.[1] The addition will cost approximately 7.8 million dollars, and in total will add: at least 9 classrooms (including 1 classroom dedicated to science & technologies studies), 2 new arts classrooms, a new gymnasium including a gender-neutral washroom and change rooms, and department offices for teachers.
