We Just Are is debut studio album by Irish electronic band The Japanese Popstars, released on August 7, 2008 on Gung-Ho! Recordings.

Background and recording

2008 release from the Irish Electronic act that can only be described as a fusion between Orbital, Chemical Brothers and Vitalic. Hailing From Derry in Northern Ireland, the trio have just been voted 'Best Live Dance act in Ireland' by Spin Magazine. Over the course of the last year The Japanese Popstars have had supporters and fans in the likes of Azzido Da Bass, Erol Alkan, Pete Tong, Paul Woolford, Darren Emerson, Mason, 2ManyDJs, Philippe Zdar, Eddy Temple Morris and Fergie. They started building up their fanbase through Myspace and gathering a cult following from their tracks and shows - they started packing in and selling out venues across Ireland. They have been nominated and won various awards in Dance music for both their energetic Live Show and DJ sets including Best Live Act at 2008 Irish Dance Music Awards, Best House DJs at Urban Music Awards 2006, Best Club DJs at 2007 Fate Magazine Awards and Top Irish Act 2007 in Connected Magazine. 12 tracks.
