The War Memorial Gym opened in 1951 to house the UBC Thunderbirds, and has capacity of 3,000 people. The gym is primarily used for UBC Basketball, and Volleyball. The entire complex has 15,000 square feet of space. The nearby parking lot can hold over 1,500 cars.[1]
