Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Walther Krause (31 December 1890 – 25 October 1960) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Walther Krause was captured by American troops in May 1945 and was held until June 1947.
