WYKT is a radio station in northeastern Illinois. It is licensed to Wilmington, Illinois and is a CBS Sports Radio affiliate. It has an effective radiated power of 1,300 watts at 147 meters height above average terrain.[1]

History

In 1995 WYKT was Triple-A but picked up the WDRE Underground Network at night.[2]

Prior to 2003 WYKT aired a Rock format branded "The Kat".[3] From 2003 to 2007 WYKT aired a 60s and 70s Oldies format branded as "The Pickle".[4] WYKT aired a Top 40 format and was branded as "My 105.5", before again switching to a Rock format branded "The Kat" on September 15, 2009.[5]

The last song played as "The Kat" was "Wait for Me" by Rise Against. After that song the Kat became 105.5 The Ticket, effective July 10 2014.

Current Programming

WYKT is a CBS Sports Radio affiliate. The station does not provide any local programming but instead pulls from CBS Sports' national stream.[6]
