No Mercy is an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE. The first No Mercy was held on May 16, 1999 in Manchester, England. The event was held annually in October from 1999 to 2008, and from 2003 to 2006 it was exclusive to the SmackDown! brand. In 2016, the event returned as a SmackDown exclusive following the reinstated of brand extension and aired on the WWE Network for the first time. The song, "No Mercy" by Jim Johnston was used as a regular theme song for the events in 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2007. In 2016 event, the theme song was "No Mercy" by KIT.
