WKCE (1120 WKCE) is a station serving the Knoxville market. This station broadcasts on AM frequency 1120 kHz and is under ownership of Aaron Ishmael, through licensee Mid-Century Radio LLC,[1] who are now broadcasting an oldies format.

History

WKCE had been a Spanish sports radio station as an ESPN Deportes Radio affiliate from 2007 to 2010 and then a sports station from 2010 to 2014 and then a comedy station until January 2015 when the format changed to oldies.

WKCE changed to an all-news format under the moniker "1120 News Now" on July 4, 2015.[2] The daytime only signal will feature 15 minute blocks including ABC News, local reports from Bob Yarborough, Seth Stokes and Chris Lash, traffic with Pete Michaels, weather from WATE TV's Matt Hinkin, and sports updates from sister WVLZ.[3]

WKCE changed format to an oldies station on December 5, 2015.[4]
