Voluntary trades

In Canada Voluntary trades are those where a certification or license is not required to practise the trade. Compulsory trades, by contrast, are those where all individuals engaging in the practice of the trade must comply with trade certification legislation and must either be certified, or be working towards becoming certified, as a registered apprentice, for example.[1][2]
