Valérie Hermann is a French business woman and an important figure in the fashion industry.

Career

She is currently the President of Ralph Lauren Luxury Collection. Hermann previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Yves Saint Laurent (now called Saint Laurent Paris) at Kering SA from 2005 to 2011.[1]

She previously worked in various capacities at Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, including Director of Women's Ready to Wear at Christian Dior. She graduated from HEC Paris in 1985 and started her career at the Comite Colbert, the Paris-based luxury goods trade association.

She also serves as an Independent Director of Moncler since December 16, 2013.

Hermann is ranked 46th in the Fortune's ranking of the world's most powerful women in Business.[2]

Personal life

Valérie Hermann grew up in Concarneau (Northwest of France). Both her parents were surgeons, and so are her brother and her sister.

She met her husband while studying at HEC Paris. They have three daughters.

Distinctions

Hermann became a Chevalier de l'Ordre National de la Légion d'Honneur in 2007 [1]. She was also awarded the Femme en Or trophy in the "Business" category.
