Uya Kuya (born Surya Utama; April 4, 1975), is an Indonesian television personality, actor, singer, songwriter, magician and businessman.

Career

Kuya began his debut career to singer when joining a pop music group in 1999, namely Tofu.[1] During with his band, Kuya has released two studio albums and in February 2003, Kuya decided to left from the band, due to solo careers. After that, Kuya has singing his single "Persembahan Cinta" which has listed in a compilation album of musician Andi Bayou. Kuya also played his two films: Bad Wolves (2005) and Cinta 24 Karat (2003).

In addition as singer and actor, Kuya has also producing and songwriter for several musician and also his daughter Cinta Kuya to single "Mimpi Terindah" which had earned three nominations for Children category at Anugerah Musik Indonesia. Kuya has often winning many awards in local television industry, including an major annual of television version Panasonic Gobel Awards for his two program Eat Bulaga! Indonesia and Rumah Uya.

Personal life

Kuya has married to a model and also a manager Astrid Margaretha (neé Khairunnisha) on May 17, 2003,[2] and have birth two children. Kuya also had many various businessman, such as showroom car business, culinary business, to breeding cats business.
