The University of Angers (French: Université d'Angers) is an institution of higher learning situated in the town of the same name, in western France. It was founded in 1356, closed down in 1793, and reestablished in 1971.

The pre-revolutionary institution is sometimes looked upon as the precedent institution of the Catholic University of the West, though, as both popes and kings have granted charters to the old University of Angers, it is not a clear predecessor to either of the current Universities in Angers.
