Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (Pedagogical Experimental Libertador University, UPEL) is the main public university institute, dedicated to formation of Teachers and professors in Venezuela. The main headquarters is on Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. And has centers, called "nucleos" (Cores) in others states, like Aragua, Distrito Capital, Lara, Miranda, Monagas and Tachira. The Institute of Professional Improvement of Teachers (MMPI), with core and extensions throughout the country, is also part of the structure of the UPEL. The university is titled in honor of the Venezuela´s Liberator, Simon Bolivar.
