U.K. Parliamentary petitions website

The U.K. Parliamentary petitions website was founded in July 2015,[1] to allow members of the public to petition the Parliament of the United Kingdom. As of June 2016 the most successful ever petition was one to require referendums to have a supermajority with over 4 million signatories,[2] started in May 2016 before the Brexit referendum, by a pro-Brexit supporter.[3] The second most popular petition was one to ban Donald Trump from entering the UK which caused the website to crash and had more than 550,000 signatories.[4][5][6]
