Tyler Christopher (born Tyler Christopher Baker; November 11, 1972)[1] is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Nikolas Cassadine (1996–99, 2003–11, 2013–2016) and Connor Bishop (2004–05) on the ABC soap opera General Hospital.

Early life

Christopher was born in Joliet, Illinois and grew up in Delaware, Ohio,[2] the youngest of four children.[3] He is of Native American heritage, as his mother Jimi-Ann is Choctaw and his father Jim Baker is Seneca. About his Native American background, Christopher has said: "I've been recognized within the Native American community in terms of entertainment. There's not a lot of us out there, not tons of competition. We are definitely a minority amongst a minority, but we're out there. Not everyone's Italian or Latin that has dark hair and dark eyes."[4]

He attended Ohio Wesleyan University for two years and then moved to Los Angeles.[5]

Personal life

Christopher was married to Eva Longoria from 2002 to 2004. He and Brienne Pedigo publicly announced their engagement in October 2006;[6] Christopher and Pedigo married September 27, 2008.[6] the couple resides in Los Angeles and had their first child, Greysun James Christopher, on October 3, 2009.[7][8] In October 2014, it was announced that Christopher and his wife were expecting their second child, due in May 2015.[9] On May 3, 2015, Christopher confirmed on his official Twitter feed that Pedigo had given birth to a baby girl, Boheme.[10][11]
