Truth Serum is the debut extended play (EP) by Swedish recording artist Tove Lo. It was released in Sweden as a digital download on 3 March 2014. The EP includes the singles "Habits (Stay High)" and "Out of Mind". The EP has peaked at number 13 on the Swedish Albums Chart.

The album scored 6/10 at NME where they described the album as a 'society questioner' from the phrase of the single "Habits (Stay High)": 'Her persona of 'mandatory unstable coke-head at a party' sees the Swede rarely mincing her words when detailing the minutiae of her fraught personal life, and any pop star willing to open their lead single with the line “I eat my dinner in a bathtub, then I go to sex clubs” ('Habits') is clearly out to upset the status quo.'[3]

Writing style

Tove's writing style is influenced by her own life experiences. The album is a story of a relationship she had from beginning to end. From the highs as heard in "Not on Drugs" to the lows in "Habits (Stay High)", intertwining the experience as to be listened as a whole.[4]
