Tom Connell is an Australian journalist currently serving as a political reporter for Sky News Australia.[1]

Career

Connell obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Melbourne University[1] and earned a postgraduate degree in journalism from RMIT University in 2009.[2]

Connell joined Sky News in 2009, serving as a liaison producer and business reporter.[1] In 2011, Connell served as a reporter based in Brisbane, which included covering the 2012 Queensland state election.[3][4] The following year he relocated to Canberra as a Federal political reporter and member of the Canberra Press Gallery.[5]

Connell is also a substitute anchor for numerous Sky News programs presented from Canberra, including the now defunct Saturday Agenda[6] and The Latest with Laura Jayes.[7] He has also presented highlights packages of Australian question time which air on international news channels including C-SPAN in America.[8]
