Timpview High School (THS) is a public secondary school located in Provo, Utah, United States. Timpview is a 4A school and is one of the three high schools in the Provo City School District. The current principal is Fidel Montero.[1]

History

Timpview High School has had seven principals: John L. Matthews (1977–1979), Dolan B. Condie (1979–1985), Kay W. Laursen (1985–1990), Randall S. Merrill (1990–2001), George Bayles (2001–2011), Todd McKee (2011–2016), and Fidel Montero (2016–present).

The school's original name was supposed to be Valleyview, but the students protested claiming that there's not a great view of the valley from the school's location, and so the school was subsequently named Timpview. Timpview got its name from Mount Timpanogos and the "view" of the cited mountain from the school's location.
