Tigers and Fireflies

Tigers and Fireflies is an album released by Lynsey de Paul[1] in 1979.[2][3][4] Recorded at Long View Farm Studios[5] and produced by Rupert Holmes,[6] the album features lead single "Hollywood Romance" (co-written by de Paul and David Jordan) which was a radio hit and the follow-up single "Tigers and Fireflies".[7] Other tracks include "Losin' the Blues for You" and "Melancholy Melon", both co-written by de Paul and the actor James Coburn,[8][9] "'Twas" was a piano bar song co-written with the album's producer, Rupert Holmes. De Paul teamed up with former singing partner Mike Moran for the uptempo "Without You". The album also featured an updated, rerecoding of "My Man and Me", giving it a more blues style than the original ballad.[3][10] Tom "Bones" Malone played brass, reeds and flutes on the album.[11] Jesse Henderson was the engineer and mixed the album.[12]
