'Thundermarch' is the annual rock and metal fest of National Institute of Technology Silchar.[1] It is an integral part of Incandescence, the annual cultural festival of NIT Silchar, held in the month of February, and is one of the most popular and widely attended rock festivals in North-East India.

History

'Thundermarch'is the flagship event of Incandescenece,NIT Silchar[2] the cultural festival of NIT Silchar, which is a non-profit organisation run completely by the students under the guidance of the Gymkhana Union Body,the student body of NIT Silchar.

It started as simple rock festival in the year 2009 and has now grown into one of the largest rock festivals in the country and a platform for the national bands to battle for the best. The fest is regularly headlined by International acts and the best bands in the country.

Competition

This[3] is the most awaited and power-packed event of Thundermarch where the bands from all over the country set the stage on fire to be the best.

Winner: ₹1,00,000 Runner's Up: ₹50,000

It is the online guitar solo competition.
