Thomas Lankey is the Mayor of Edison, New Jersey, the state's 5th largest municipality by population, with about 101,000 residents. He won the November 2013 election[1] and was sworn January 1, 2014. He was previously a town councilperson.[2][3] Soon after taking office Lankey said he would re-write the town's code of ethics.[4]

Background

Lankey is lifelong resident of Edison, and a 1978 graduate of Wardlaw-Hartridge School.[5] He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware.[6] He is a Senior Vice President at JFK Health System and previously on Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Magyar Bank.[6]
