The Voice Kids Indonesia is an Indonesian music talent show for children from 9 to 15 years created by John de Mol and is set to premiere sometime in 2016 on Global TV. The format is Dutch and the original Dutch kids version of the programme was broadcast in the Netherlands for the first time in 2012 as The Voice Kids. It is the fourth kids franchise to be adapted in Southeast Asia after Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines. The winner of which receives a 1 billion rupiahs recording contract with Universal Music Indonesia.

Speculation

A junior version of The Voice Indonesia first came to terms when John de Mol "hoped" that the Global TV would launch The Voice Kids Indonesia in the future.

Format

Blind auditions

The first shown stage is the blind auditions, where they sing in front of the coaches. The coaches have their backs to the singer, and if they like what they hear, they can press their button to turn around and recruit them to their team. If more than one coach turns, the power shifts to the singer, who then decides which team they would like to be part of. Each coach must recruit 24 singers to their team in the blind auditions to progress on to the battle phase.

Battle rounds

Each team of singers will be mentored and developed by their coach. In the second stage, coaches will have three of their team members battle against each other by singing the same song, with the coach choosing which team member will advance to the next stage.

Live shows

In the final phase, the remaining contestants will compete against each other in live broadcasts. The television audience will help to decide who moves on. When one team member remains for each coach, the contestants will compete against each other in the finale.

Coaches

On April 2016, three coaches were chosen, namely Bebi Romeo, Agnez Mo and Tulus. Agnez Mo began her singing career when she was girl. Bebi Romeo is a pop-rock singer and music producer, while Tulus is a pop-jazz singer.[1]
