The Scottish Golf Show is a Scottish television series, which aired on Scottish TV and Grampian TV (now both known as STV). The programme captures the imagination of golfers and non-golfers alike and explores the experience that is Scotland and the true spirit of golf in a blend of humour, nostalgia, science, history, technology, stunning scenery and personalities.

The Scottish Golf Show was narrated by Iain Anderson and produced, directed & edited by Scott Brown. The series was first broadcast in 2005, and was re-aired in 2006, and again in May 2009 on STV.

Episode guide/synopsis

Episode 1

An overview of Scotland's picturesque and historic golf courses, beginning with arguably the most famous of them all — St Andrews. The exclusive Royal and Ancient Golf Club opens its doors and the origins of the game are explored at the British Golf Museum.

Episode 2

This edition features one of Scotland's premier venues - the championship course at Royal Troon, and takes a look at some of the other major courses in Ayrshire. We learn the origins of the Open Championship and discover that the spirit of Old Tom Morris, Sr. still lives on.

Episode 3

This edition features the Open Championship venue at Carnoustie, and some of the hidden gems along the east coast. We meet a 12-year-old Perthshire girl with her own private 14-hole course, and a host of Scottish celebrities share their thoughts on golf as they play in a charity challenge at Craigielaw Golf Club in East Lothian.

Episode 4

The show visits Royal Dornoch - a stunning jewel in Scotland's golfing crown. Graeme Baxter talks about the art of golf, and we take a look behind the scenes at Elmwood College in Fife where students from all over the world come to learn the art of gamekeeping.

Episode 5

In this edition The Scottish Golf Show opens with some five-star action at the magnificent setting of Gleneagles in Perthshire. Then we travel to Europe's biggest public golf exhibition, the London Golf Show, and visit two of the world's most exclusive outposts to get a taste of luxury at Skibo Castle and Loch Lomond.

Episode 6

This edition opens at one of the great golf destinations of the world - Turnberry in Ayrshire, where Colin Montgomerie shows us round his Links Golf Academy. Then we travel by land and sea to discover some of Scotland's hidden gems and visit the new courses at Aviemore, The Carrick, and the No 7 at St Andrews.

Episode 7

We visit the oldest golf club in the world, Muirfield - home of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. Find out how replicas of antique hickory clubs are handcrafted, and watch enthusiasts of ancient golf compete in the 21st Scottish Hickory Championship at Gullane - complete with plus fours.
