The Riverside Company is an American worldwide private equity firm focused on investing in growing small and medium-sized enterprises (with a value of up to $250 million/€200 million). Since its founding in 1988, the firm has invested in more than 430 acquisitions.^[2] As of July 2013, Riverside's global investment portfolio includes more than 75 companies with approximately 13,000 employees. Riverside has offices and makes investments across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The firm’s investors include the some of world’s leading pension funds, endowments, funds of funds, insurance companies and banks.
