The Mountain Between Us is an upcoming American romance-disaster film directed by Hany Abu-Assad and written by Chris Weitz, based on the novel of the same name by Charles Martin.^[1] Earlier drafts of screenplay were written by J. Mills Goodloe and Scott Frank.^[2] It stars Idris Elba and Kate Winslet as a Surgeon and writer respectively who survived a plane crash and stranded in High Uintas Wilderness with injuries and harsh weather conditions.^[3] The film will be released by 20th Century Fox on 20 October 2017 in USA.^[4]

Plot

On cancellation of their flight due to stormy weather, Dr. Max Payne and writer Rachel Knox boarded a a charter plane. Unfortunately for them the plane got crashed and they survived the incident with injuries but get lost in wilderness.

Principal photography started on 1 December 2016 in Vancouver and will continue till 17 February 2017.^[5]
