The Henry Lawson Festival

The Henry Lawson Festival is an arts festival held annually on the June long weekend in Grenfell, New South Wales, a town in the central west New South Wales, Australia—the birthplace of Henry Lawson.

First held in 1958 and continuing since then,[1] the festival is now one of Australia's longest running. The festival features an array of exhibitions including art, photography, porcelain, poetry, verse and short story. A street carnival and procession is held on the Saturday with music, busking, street markets, children's rides and entertainment. A car show is held in the lower end of the main street on the Sunday and Iandra Castle also opens its doors to the public.

Each year the festival hosts an official guest[2] for the weekend, with past guests including Dick Smith, Alan Jones, Judy Nunn, Garry McDonald, Slim Dusty, Bill Peach and Bertha Jago (Henry Lawson's Daughter) to name just a few.
