The Donut Whole is a donut shop and live music venue located in the Douglas Design District of Wichita, Kansas, United States. It opened in January 2009 in a building topped with a giant rooster statue named D.W. "Big Ed" Buttermilk, a well-known local roadside attraction.[1]

The store offers 40+ variations on the cake donut, including a vegan recipe. Batter is made from scratch and fried in soybean shortening.[2] Flavors include old standards such as Chocolate and Maple as well as more unusual offerings like Peanut Butter & Grape, King Midas (vanilla, salted peanuts & Lyle's Golden Syrup), Root Beer Float, Creamy Orange, Maple Bacon, Lemon Cooler, Buttered Popcorn & Thick Mint.

Musicians who have played in the Donut Whole's Bantam Lounge include Bill Goffrier (of The Embarrassment and Big Dipper), Mike Coykendall (of Old Joe Clarks, She & Him, M. Ward Band, Klyde Konnor, etc.), Dustin Arbuckle (of Moreland & Arbuckle), Wayne Gottstine (of Split Lip Rayfield), Jason & the Punknecks, Emilie Henry, Craig "Twister" Steward and many others.
