The Bedroom Window is a 1987 American psychological thriller film directed by Curtis Hanson. It stars Elizabeth McGovern, Steve Guttenberg and Isabelle Huppert. The movie is based on the novel The Witnesses, by Anne Holden.

Plot

Terry (Steve Guttenberg) is having an affair with his boss's wife Sylvia (Isabelle Huppert). One night after an office party, they are together and Sylvia witnesses an attack on Denise (Elizabeth McGovern) from Terry's bedroom window. She does not want to expose their relationship and so is reluctant to talk to the police. Terry, wanting to help, gives the police the description of the attacker. He soon becomes the main prosecution witness until it becomes clear that he could not have witnessed the assault, at which point he becomes the main suspect in the case. He then sets out to find the real rapist/killer (and clear his own name in the process) with some help from Denise.

Cast
