Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training

The Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training (ADST) is a nonprofit organization promoting study of American diplomacy and supporting training of foreign service personnel. Located at the George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center, it supports the Foreign Service Institute training programs through a range of activities.[1]

The ADST has an oral history collection housed at the Library of Congress consisting of interviews with foreign service officers as well as some other political figures.[2] The association also publishes books on American diplomacy and diplomats.[3]

The association was founded in 1986; its current president is Kenneth L. Brown.[4]
