The Africa Report is an English-language monthly magazine that focuses on African politics and economics.

History and profile

Created in 2005 by Paris-based group Jeune Afrique,[1] The Africa Report is edited by Africa Confidential′s Patrick Smith. The group also publishes the monthly.[2]

With contributions from African and international journalists, in-the-field writers reporting from every region, as well as renowned specialists on the continent’s politics, economy, industry and governance, The Africa Report guarantees in-depth, on-the-ground reportage relied upon by decision-makers and investors active in Africa. The editorial stance offers fresh perspective on subjects that influence the way the world engages with the continent.

The Africa Report won the 2006, 2007 and 2012 Diageo Africa Business Reporting Award for Best Media[2] as well as the 2007 award for Best Published Feature.
