In total there are 7 public access channels under the jurisdiction of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on TV, Radio and Film.[1] Programs are of a low professional level and the viewer is fed a positive point of view. Criticism can only come from the President. On television there is censorship. The majority of the population takes advantage of satellite TV.
