The blind velvet worm (Tasmanipatus anophthalmus) is a species of velvet worm in the Peripatopsidae family. It is found in northeastern Tasmania, Australia.[2][3] The species is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List.[1] The blind velvet worm is so named because it lacks eyes. It is white and may be up to 35 mm long when resting, but extends up to 50 mm when walking.[4][5]
