Taranna is a hamlet on the Tasman Peninsula in southeastern Tasmania. It is noted for its picturesque Presbyterian church, immediately adjacent to the Federation Chocolate Factory, and popular Tasmanian Devil Park. At the 2006 census, Taranna and the surrounding area had a population of 190.[1]

History

Norfolk Bay Post Office opened on 1 February 1884 and was renamed Taranna in 1887. It closed in 1970.[2]
