Tantpur is small town in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh state in India. It is 65 km from the main city Agra. This small village is situated on the borderline of two states Rajasthan and Uttar pradesh. Parmar lives mainly there, there are 2 havelis of Parmar, one belongs to late Shri Thakur Bihari singh parmar "Raees". He was the most prominent person of the region. There's one more haveli beautifully built and maintained by Baniyas. Tantpur and it's nearby areas are big resource of Red, white and pink sandstone getting exported to all across India and other countries like UAE, Canada etc. Few films have also been shot at the beautiful locations of village.

Famous

Tantpur is known for its sandstone, which has been used in the Red fort, Humayun tomb (Situated in Delhi) , Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar's Tomb and other monuments of mughal era. Majorly this stone is seen in big hotels and resorts to give them royal and traditional outlook. long lasting durability, low maintenance and beautiful colours are the pro's of using this stone and that's why big hoteliers, builders, developers and contractors prefers it most.
