"Taken for Granted" is the debut single by Sia. It was released in 2000 and in June of that year, debuted at number 10 on the UK Singles Charts. It stayed on the charts for a total of five weeks. It is the first single of Sia's second studio album, Healing Is Difficult. It was written by Sia and produced by Nigel Corsbie and heavily samples from Sergei Prokofiev's 'Montagues and Capulets'

Sia performed the song on Top of the Pops.

"Taken for Granted" was released as a CD single in the US on 19 May 2000.^[2] It was also made available as a vinyl single.^[3]

In the UK, "Taken for Granted" was distributed as a CD on 22 May 2000.^[4] The Pt. 2 version was also released the same day.^[5]

Chart performance

In June 2000, it was a hit, debuting at its peak position of #10 in the United Kingdom.^[6] In March 2002, it had some success in Sia's home country, Australia, it peaked at #100 on the ARIA Top 100 Singles Charts.^[7]

The song reached #7 on ARIA's HitSeekers Singles Chart.
