"Take It Back" is a song by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. It features production from hip hop producer Rick Rubin. The song was released on 20 June 2014 as part of the deluxe edition of his second studio album, x (2014). It entered the UK Singles Chart at number 117 and rose to number 85 due to strong download sales, despite lacking an independent release.

Background and release

Sheeran premiered an acoustic version of the song through SB.TV on 25 April 2014.^[1] The acoustic recording, and all live performances of the song, use Sheeran's verse from "Epic Dreamers' Remix" as a fourth verse which does not feature on the album version.
