The Taiwan Trunk Line (northern section) (Chinese: 縱貫線 (北段); pinyin: Zòngguàn Xiàn (běiduàn)) is a line of the Taiwan Railway Administration in Taiwan. It is 125.4 km long with double track.[1]

History

The line was completed in 1902, during Japanese rule. It is electrified (25 kV) with two tracks from Keelung Station to Zhunan Station. At the northern end by Badu Station there is a connection to the Eastern Line, on the southern end it split into two routes at Zhunan Station: Coastal Line and Taichung Line (Mountain Line).
