Tai Hara (born 29 March 1990)[1] is an Australian actor and presenter.

Early life and career

Hara was born in Sydney, New South Wales and grew up studying at The Southport School on the Gold Coast, Queensland.[1][2] After appearing in his first school performance at the age of three, Hara decided to become an actor. He chose this career path as he loved the art of storytelling. He attended the Queensland University of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2010. Following his graduation, Hara presented the television show Cash Call, which he hosted for two seasons.

Hara made his screen debut in 2011, appearing in a small role in a short-lived American science fiction drama Terra Nova. In 2012, he was cast in his first feature film, the Australian comedy Reef 'n' Beef. Hara is best known for his role on the Seven Network soap opera Home and Away, as Andy Barrett, since 2013 (the series' twenty-sixth season).[2]

In 2014, Hara competed in the 14th series of Dancing with the Stars.[3]

Personal Life

Hara is of Maori descent. He is engaged to former Hi-5 cast member, Fely Irvine.[4]
