Synergy Marine Group provides ship management services to ship owners worldwide. They have their headquarters in Singapore.[1]

Synergy Marine Group was founded in 2006. They provide services like technical management, commercial management, crew management, new ship building, maritime training, pre-purchase inspection, port agency and marine travels.

The company is accredited ISO 14000, OHSAS 18001 and certified by DNV for ISO 9001.[2] Currently Synergy Group employs 600 members of staff across its offices and 4500 seafarers worldwide.

Types of Ships Managed

As of December 2015, Synergy Marine Group manages more than 100 ships, consisting mostly of VLCC, Suezmax, Aframax, LR2, LR1, MR Tankers, Chemical tanker, VLGC, Cape, Kamsarmax, Panamax, Handymax and Handy sized Bulk carrier and ships from 1800 TEU to 8500 TEU.

Training

Japanese transport conglomerate Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) - the largest ship operator in the world- has partnered with the Synergy Group to set up a marine advanced simulation training facility (called MAST) in Chennai, India. MOL Synergy India (MAST) trains seafarers with full mission simulators for ship manoeuvring, engine room and liquid cargo simulators for oil, chemical, LPG and LNG, and ECDIS- both generic and type specific [3][4][5] [6]

Award

During this tenure, Synergy Group has won the BP Shipping CEO’s Partner of the Year Award in 2012.[7] Samudra Manthan Award 2015 for Social Responsibility.[8]

They have established their offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indian Subcontinent (Chennai, Delhi, Cochin, Pune , Mumbai), Philippines (Manila, Iloilo) and Stamford (USA).
