Symington's
Symington's Ltd is a British food manufacturer.
Founded in 1827, the company gained success in the Victorian and Edwardian periods by pioneering dried foods such as pea flour (used in the Crimean War and by Scott of the Antarctic), packet soups, and powdered desserts such as blancmange, custard and table cream.
From the 1970s the company has expanded into making own-label products for supermarkets, such as soups.
