Suzanne N.J. 'Susie' Chun Oakland is a Democratic member of the Hawaii Senate, representing the 13th District since 1996. Previously she was a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1990 through 1996. She is generally considered to have liberal political views.

Chun Oakland received her BA degree in Communications and Psychology from the University of Hawaii.

Personal life

Chun Oakland is the first of three children born to Philip S. Chun and Mei-Chih Chun. She is the mother of three children Mailene Oakland, Christopher Oakland and Lauren Oakland. She has two grandchildren, Mysha and Shayden Tialevea.
