Subhalekha Sudhakar (born Suravajula Sudhakar, Telugu: శుభలేఖ సుధాకర్, on 19 November 1960) is a leading actor in Telugu cinema and Tamil television. He is known for his roles in successful television soaps like Chithi, Anni, Kolangal and Thendral.[1][2] He has many awards including a Nandi Award[3] for the serial Mamathala Kovela; his role as Thulasi's father Muthumankicam in Thendral, where he acted as a handicapped person, was acclaimed and won him the Best Actor award.[4][1][5]

Career

Subhalekha Sudhakar has acted in more than 100 films, including a few Tamil films as well. He made his acting debut in K. Viswanath's film Subhalekha. This gave him the screen name "Subhalekha" Sudhakar. He is noted for his comic and supporting actor roles.[6]

Personal life

He is married to playback singer S. P. Sailaja,[7] in 1989 and the couple have a son, Sreekar born in 1991.
